Please keep the following in mind when practicing at Bikram Yoga - Kearny Mesa
- ARRIVE EARLY - when you arrive early, this allows us to start the class promptly on time. Be respectful of your fellows yogis.
- SHOES - no shoes in the studio, leave them at the door.
- BYOM - Bring Your Own Mat. While you're on your first week you can borrow one of our mats. After that please bring your own mat. Remember, we sell eco friendly, recyclable, non-PVC yoga mats here at the school.
- SIGN IN - always sign in and print legibly.
- STAY FOR THE ENTIRE CLASS - when you leave early, you not only miss out on getting the full benefits of Bikram Yoga series, but it is also disruptive to others in the class. If your schedule does not allow you to stay the full 90 minutes, we ask that you choose another class time to attend.
- NO COLORED WATER - This includes gatorade, fruit juices, soda, red wine etc...
- BE AWARE OF WHERE & HOW YOU SET-UP - carpet line should run thru the middle of your yoga mat. Do not set up directly in front of (or behind) someone else. You should be able to see yourself in the mirror and so should the people behind you.
- NOTHING EXTRA IN THE YOGA ROOM - only you, your mat/towel and your water please. And NO GUM!
- BE CLEAN AND FRAGRANCE FREE - you can take a shower before class if needed. Check your feet.
- LET THE TEACHER KNOW - before class if you have any injury or if you are not feeling well. Set up in the back of the room on those days.
- SILENCE IS GOLDEN - no talking in the yoga room. Relax in silence before and after class.
- QUICK SHOWERS, SAVE WATER - be considerate of our water shortage here in Southern California.
- AND FINALLY - Honor yourself. You are the most important thing in the world.
